okay here goes my big mouth. I am not disagreeing with you so much as jumping off from your post but...
we all get offended and hurt sometimes. Every possible division has been pointed out and exploited, and often on both sides of the issue. It is rarely so easy to draw clear cut lines of who is right and who is wrong in these kinds of things. Most often both sides have contributed to it, or are just as guilty somewhere else. I'm not saying this to excuse the actions, but instead of promoting endless reparations and memorials and saccarine commentary, why not delcare a worldwide resetting of the record. A jubillee so to speak. We are all guilty, and we are not through hurting others, so for right now, can't we just go back to zero? I mean this in a personal sense. I'm not talking about all the billions of people who don't read this, only those who do. It would be nice if the world would do it, but let's be realistic.
It is so much easier on our minds to let things go rather than dwell on them endlessly. It takes up too much memory. I think we should practice releasing as many offenses as we can as often as we can. Of course easier said than done, but not as hard as we make it out. Just think like your pet. Does he keep any record of wrong?
