Geez, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring everyone down. Something you should know about me--I enjoy being able to discuss all sides of things, and I really enjoy discussions where we can express different viewpoints. It used to drive Jay nuts, and it still aggravates some of my friends, but I understand that it's not for everyone. My grandpa used to say that I could argue with a brick wall. My mom burned into me the idea that you have to see the other person's side--you should see me play devil's advocate.
I know that we can't make a huge difference in things like politics, but besides the media, it's the livingroom discussions that change the thinking of a nation, person by person. At some point, friends and neighbors began to discuss the idea of being a separate nation from England, and at another point, poets began writing about slavery, and at another point, teenagers listening to music began to learn about other races and thinking towards equality.
