Here's an idea, but it's only an idea:
Go find some object that makes you feel peaceful. It can be a special possession from your own home, or it can be an object from nature, or something someone has given to you. Just make sure it is something which inspires solid or fixed thoughts for you. Then, consider this moment and consider your reality beginning to make sense in this moment. It doesn't have to make sense. You are just considering that it CAN make sense. If you believe in God this is a way to work out your faith. So, take the object and leave it somewhere special where you can find a space to relax or rest. Make sure that the area is not cluttered, but leave plenty of viewing space for your object. This way it is not confusing to the eye. Whenever you look at your object remember this feeling of peace or this feeling of everything making sense. Your life has a purpose. You do not know what it is yet. It is a purpose that unfolds. When you look at the object consider that you are becoming content with this unfolding purpose. This is just a suggestion. It helps me. I'm not talking about magic or psychological goofiness. I'm simply talking about a vehicle that can help us focus our concentration on a helpful state of mind. If you are Christian, you can find this state of unity or state of completeness in Christ/God. If you are not a Christian, it won't hurt you to meditate on this quality of wholeness. You begin to see less of your own problem and more how everything around you is integrated, and if you are Christian, you see that this is all in God. (Col. 1) O.K. This is just an idea. It's a simple exercise. It's a tool. The object has no power. You are simply using it as a tool to help change your thought processes. Hey, if this doesn't work for you, then don't worry. It's just an idea. It's a way for you to do something with your head in the meantime until you can think more clearly, and actually, it is an aid TO thinking more clearly. Also, another thing is to consider others. Think how you can help their realities to be more fixed. O.K. I'm no doctor, just a little idea.....
