Bill the mystical mayor. I can see you wearing one of those cat-in-the-hat hats and a tuxedo with atails only in bright colors with irridescent pants.

: 4) Sign paperwork or do whatever else is necessary to create their own city, thereby destroying Tampa. Bill becomes the mayor of the new city and gets to give it a new name, or even keep the Tampa name, because of his previously declared love for the city.
:
: Well, we would keep the name Tampa, but we would employ some people to find out what Tampa actually means. To this day I have not discovered this. We would also design a flag for Tampa and a special city seal. If these already exist we need to get someone to dig them up and post them here. I have ideas for the city. Currently there are people in city planning who I want to remain in their posts. I would not make too many changes in that respect, but I would do all in my power to allow their good ideas to go through without hindrances. Beyond this point I would become a sort of 'mystical mayor' trying to reenchant the land and people of this great city. I believe Tampa is a sleeping giant and I truly cannot wait to see her revealed in all her greatness. I am a raging idealist, who seeks to be a realist. I am sure that I would need good strong advisors who would understand my vision, but also assist me in areas where I lack understanding. I would encourage all residents to be bilingual in Spanish and English. I would create a large program for the advancement of the arts in the area. I would also make sure I put this in the hands of those who have a strong love of creativity and not in the hands of the current art elite. I would pepper the city with positive quotations from great thinkers. I would do all in my power to lay waste to the current county school system and help to rebuild it on the best of principles putting the education of our community as the top priority. I would put the responsibility for a peaceful city in the wills of it's citizens and not in more policing. I would also continue to build our already strong strong police force. I would promote churches, temples, mosques, synagogues and other places of worship. I would encourage farming and local markets. I would NOT LISTEN to those who say I am merely dreaming. I would create groups similar to the scouts, who would take children out into the local natural areas and teach them about our local animals, plants, rivers and woods. Homeless people would be allowed to wander and we would make little shelters for them. They would also be allowed to bathe in the rivers and in streams. Nudity near rivers and beaches would be legal. We would have to have a whole new way of looking at the homeless. I already have ideas for this but I won't mention them here. We would be taught how to blend with the land and live a simple life in harmony with nature. I would create a highway/public transportation system that would relax the use of and need for cars. I would push the idea of having things in common and not living segregated lives. I would encourage those living in close community with each other to reach out and meet as many of their neighbors as possible. Well, these are just a few of my ideas and I'm sure that they are full of flaws, but they work as a sort of starting point that my advisors can help me work on. The main thing is that the vision has to be caught by the citizens of Tampa themselves. When this happens we can begin to see positive organic growth in the right direction. This has less to do with politics than it does with choosing to love a place and a people and then following though on that choice.
: See ya, Bill
