Bottom line is this: you can't legislate morality. You can't force yourself and your opinions on people. You often have to trust God to take care of things that you suspect may not be right. Not actively opposing a sin doesn't mean you are condoning it. Just means you aren't the Holiness Police. Choose to err on the side of grace, and you will have less to regret in the long run, I promise you.
Now the apology really needs to be directed elsewhere. I for one will be grieved if we lose a rad new brother because of this. But can you blame him? First visit = spanish inquisition. As of this point, he is not coming back. Can you can change that? I hope so. Pray.
Now if he is history, and as a result I lose my sweet and dingy little smile machine, I will be really sad. Really, really upset. Pray. Pray hard.
