: : Good advice, Ryan, especially about going to the elders of the church. If any of you encounter a brother or sister going public with something like this, you have my permission to rebuke them and send them to me!! This loose-cannon prophet attitude subverts the authority of the church leaders, and most importantly, causes division in the church and damages people. You are going to see my formidable side pretty quickly if you do this kind of thing.

I agree too, even if my original post was confusing. What I was trying to get at was calling into question the whole idea of talking about it in the first place. I would rather spend time talking about positive things than in dissing a friend. And when I'm on Steve's turf, which for me is not only the afternoon service, but also this board, which I'm happy to be able to use, I don't want to be perceived as dissing Steve as the pastor of this church, just as I wouldn't want people coming to my church and dissing my pastor, Father Dailey. I agree with all of what Steve and Ryan and MArcos said. It is biblical. It is also experientially molded into the church over time.
