Amen Matt!!! Be assured that you have been prayed for, little Jael, and you two I mean, and you will continue to be prayed for. We feel bound to you in the spirit. Also, isn't it amazing how God will bring you the proper encouragement in the proper time? I loved that story about the family he sent your way. That was beautiful and I wanted to cry~actually AM crying~ because of it. God has been doing becutiful things lately. I mean it. There have been so many miracles that we have witnessed corporately in our little circle of friends. We are so touched. We also pray for you. Whatever happens is all for God's good. We will keep Jael in our hearts and minds.
It's funny, since in this part of my life, I sometimes feel less Christian, or sometimes, less convinced than I ever was about the whole Christian thing, and yet, I see more miraculous signs than ever. And, I don't only mean medical and physical miracles, but things I never imagined, friends being reunited, people lost over the years worshipping together again--things I thought were impossible, but then again God delights in doing the impossible. Matt, I'm not trying to overcofus on miraculous signs. And they are not necessary. God does not have to do anything for any of us, but I know that he wants to. The main focus is that whatever he sends us is a grace. It's all for the good. No matter what happens in the surgery God means it for good. I am confident that God has already given Jael every blessing that he wants for her and that he holds her in the palm of his hand. Everything is JUST AS IT SHOULD BE for her, even in the midst of this valley of tears. This is a sliver of her journey. If we could see her whole life before us, if we could see who she truly is, who we truly are, we would be flat on our face in awe before HIS DIVINE MAJESTY. Once again I'll echo that, with the Lord, everything is just as it should be.
Matt, I'm here if you need a friend. I can't imagine what you as a father must be feeling. You have every right to be climbing the walls right now, but your faith encourages me.
