The issue of interracial marriage has been in my head a lot recently, although it has no place in the reality of my life right now, but yet it does have some relevancy to who I am - I'll explain some of that later.
After seeing a post referring to Cornerstone recently, and digging thru my drawers, I found an issue of the Cornerstone zine, Vol. 26, Issue 111, c1997. In here is an article regarding interracial marriage, explaining how christianity sees interracial marriage, which is especially what I was concerned about.
I've been very confused about christians and interracial marriage, because it seems to me that maybe the society in the USA is now more open to interracial marriage, but it seems that it has been and it is precisely Christians that have been and are against such a concept. So on the one hand Christians are supposed to love, and yet they have been promoters of division and separation between people?
Well this article that I found gave me light on this subject. Initially, I was going to try to type
much of it, (and practice my typing skills!), but I found it online in the cornerstonemag.com archives. Thank God for archives!
