: : i remember a long time ago maybe i would haft to say..at least( i am rubbing my forehead) hmmm 15 plus years..lets see i knew bill rogers for 5 years than. no it would have to be i was married for 8 moved in with steve and cari for 2 it has been 2 years since then....ok a long time... : : anyway..i was living in clwt and was married to someone i can say i honestly still love and will never hate.. : : and i had to go to work...what a boring day...working for checkers.what a life (would you like cheese on that) ..when i see this maroon truck pull into my line..cool they are from calf..i still dont know why i said that it is not like i make a purposeful compliments on other states..ok anyway.,so this truck pulls into the lane. and this man in a nasally voice..ok stev's voice is not nasalily the actual truth is i think that james earl jones voice (darth vader cnn etc) would sound like a head cold on an fastfood speaker..so this voice orders a mess of food in a very detailed way that was so clear and perfect the order was actually done right,,i did not suggestive sell to him because he was from california..he finally pulls u..i say hi..you are steve meigs which i think startled him a little. ok the reason why i knew he was steve meigs was because i was taking a book study course called rad studies and received (junk mail) a flyer to a show with his face on it.. : : he said a mess of thing..that will be another story..he then invites me to his church called the refuge which was in stpete..i said cool..he drove away after receiving his change,,and i went home and did what men do best,,i begged for us to go,,my wife said yes...she said yes..yippee... : : so sunday came we drove to st pete...and found the building they were meeting in a club of some sort (hmmm we are now meeting in a club of some sort and if i cant find a job i ll be working for checkers ) so we went inside..all these freaky awesome cool looking kids were there...yes i felt i had a found my long lost race..carol well. she wanted to see more you know worship service message ya know the church stuff..since i already was taking steves course i knew the messge would be good.. : : so we found a seats near the front,,sat down..and looked around..and around and around... : : in front of me was this crazy looking punk girl..something like tank girl meets la femme nikita : : her head was shaved except she had some hair left that was bleached and this braid. on her legs she was wearing these pants..well what was left of pants..tights and army boots..i forgot what shirt she was wearing but i think it was some punk band shirt,,, : : it was like...i had this crazy thought if we kept comin here maybe carol would start dressing like that..which would be grand.. : : well then this punk girl turns around and says.....hi i am cari pastor steve's wife..for a second it was like..no..steve is a pastor his wife must be around here somewhere.,,because every pastor's wife i saw basically had the same wardrobe,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,boring..........i said hiya and so did carol..my next reaction was in my brain,,,very cool..later we went out to eat at lugugi bg (this is spelt wrong) : : to this day i have seen this punk queen go through thousands of amazing fashion changes,,from punk to hippi girl to school teacher look to faerie to ,.,,,,all the beautiful maddness,, i think she she has done more with fashion then madonna,,cari's hair has had a at least 1000 changes.. : : and the amazing thing is all her looks have looked great on her... : : now fashion is a art statement and a little glimpse of someone's taste and someones creative side : : cari you are the most creative person i know... : : now this is true...as well,, cari is real...cari is real...cari is real.... : : cari loves her steven so much : : csri loves her jesus : : cari loves people in true ways : : cari is very faitful : : cari is never afraid to tell you to !@##$$$ off.. but maybe not in !@##%$% ways : : cari is honest : : cari lets me know it is ok to feel depressed dark and left to be alone in a dark cave and through this all God still is there when people could some times give a rip. : : cari has grown so much in her talent of singing and hearing her sing touches me : : cari is a great cook : : cari is a great teacher : : cari is very hard on herself : : cari you are loved : : i have to say this,,,,cari you have impacted my life in so many ways..it would take at least another page for me to tell you : : i know you pray for me : : i know you accepted me with all my issues : : i know you will always be my friend : : i know you have writen post cards to me when and reached out to me alot : : i know you invited me into your home when i needed shelter : : please forgive any rough edges i have shown you.. : : well from the first meeting to today..cari is the punk queen and will be my friend.... : : thanks... : Yeah, since I'm in concert memory lane mode, I remember the '95 Circle of Dust show at the Refuge, men that was an awesome show! I can't stress that enough, the moshing was intense, OH, YEAH, the mosh pit strong, mean and furious that night, propelled by Circle's heavy guitar riffs, and at one point I had to take a break, I was thrust forward with great force toward the front, near the edge of the stage, just nearly out of the reaches of the pit, where people were actually also dancing, moving to actually danceable electronic hard pounding beats, although I was still clearly affected by the pit, as its force and momentum continued to thrust me forward in cyclic waves towards the people lined up along the edge of the stage, this happening even as I actually now tried to dance (not mosh), and there was Cari, with a shaved head except for a bang, among the people at the front that I was being bumped into by the aftershock of the pit; Sorry Cari!
