I don't have the right answers on most of these topics. I know what I believe, and in this case, I tend to go with our friend, Xavier.
But let me tell you why --
In most cases, my belief is to have compassion for everyone, no matter who they are or what they are doing. There is always a reason behind it, and whether that reason and their actions are ignorance, madness, or cold-calculating evil, there is the potential for something (God, or even just the right person who know how to reach them), to smash these people into pulp with an emotional sledgehammer that changes their life and brings them back from the dark side.
