an acquaintance of ours is at the shands institute in gainseville for surgery tomorrow to remove a baseball-sized cancerous tumor from his brain. the doctors don't expect him to survive the operation and have told the immediate family so. i'm unsure if he believes at all in god, or his power to heal. nonetheless, this is the 3rd terminal cancer situation i've been asked to pray for in the last week. i'm thinking of getting up a little earlier...it seems lately there are so many desperate needs.
