I think Christy and Steven first met at our church, Crossover. Christy is one of Aprille's best friends. They've known each other since they were children. I think that Christy and Steven work with the Clarks. They sing beautiful harmonies.
: hey, i never got a chance to tell you all, or maybe ryan did, but i got to meet an old friend of yours. at mark and jillian's wedding i had the privilege of walking with steven miller. what an awesome guy, and his wife christy is incredibly sweet. they seem to be riding in a van all over the country loving on pagans, sounded a lot like the clarks. he asked about several of you: steve, cari, bill, pete and april.... i mentioned our new service, they seemed really interested and said they would love to come check it out the next time they were in town.
: this whole thing got me thinking about how connected we all are. when i first started going to church, i kept telling jillian how great people were, and at the same time mark was talking about this church i should check out. ironically, neither of us had a clue we were referring to the same loving family. and then meeting steven and finding that he also knew everyone. it even happened one night when chad and i were out. i saw a girl i hadn't seen in a long time and gave her a hug, he turned around and looked at me funny because he used to be really good friends with her too. it's amazing how many people are out there, who we've never met, but have always seemed to be around. like when you meet someone incredibly and find out they went to school with you, hung out with close friends of yours, or were part of a scene you were once a part of. and you sit and wonder, how on earth could we have been so close to each other, and yet never have met? somewhere down the line tho', god brings us all together.
