New blood tests yesterday for more specific results to isolate different elevated bilirubin levels. X-rays and ultrasounds inconclusive. There are a few possibilities. Worst case scenario is beginning of liver failure. Best case scenario is that the elevated bilirubin and ALT levels are a benign syndrome called Gilberts and that my pain is a result of a severe IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) as a result of this and others factors yet to be diagnosed. I should know results of new blood work in a day or two. I will be probably referred to a specialist as the next step after the new blood tests.
Thanks to God that He has enabled me to keep up with my workload and study during this. I do have a prescription for non-intoxicating pain meds that makes it easier to read, think, write, and function. Please keep praying and lets see if God will just heal me of this thing outright. If that's not the plan, then I know he has a good reason for that, and it is OK by me. His goodness in my life is indisputable, and however He can be glorified, I want that. :-)
