: : The church has been too anti-homosexuals, as distinct from anti-homosexuality. We treat homosexuals in a category all of their own. Jesus didn’t mention the topic. He didn’t put it in his top ten issues, so it’s very strange for the church to make this a number one issue, when Jesus didn’t speak of it. The church is too concerned with sexual sins, whereas Jesus is very tender in dealing with this. We in the church are not acting like Jesus.

: : Philip Yancey, author of THE JESUS I NEVER KNEW and WHAT'S SO AMAZING ABOUT GRACE?

: True. Many Christians and churches catagorize sin and make known what is exceptable or what is not. Unfortunately many people are turned away from God because of it.

funny how i was mentioning this in a secular chatroom last nite..how that GOD doesnt really get fazed like we do about these things..religion and legalism distort the image of GOD profoundly..so that people are all prone to see religion..they cannot separate GOD from religion..my hatred for religion runs deep...because it doesnt represent GOD at all nowadays..and its irrelevant to people of today..
