She has not been able to eat solid food since the first week of October when she had half of her stomach removed. At first they thought she was going to require another stomach surgery because she has colitis and some sort of an obstruction in her stomach. She also had a really high white blood cell count and her heart was weak. Now they say that the colitis, the obstruction in her stomach, and her heart problems may be clearing up without surgery but she has pneumonia. Please pray for Nanny as she is very sick and disheartened. She is not even in a hospital in her home state. She's stuck in California because she hasn't been well enough to travel. It will be really hard over the holidays because the family lives about 6 or 7 hours away. I'm worried that she will be depressed which won't help the healing process. She is already down because she feels like she's a burden to everyone. Again, please remember her in your prayers. I wish that I could go spend the holidays with her, but that's not possible. Thanks for remembering Nanny in your prayers. She's the sweetest lady in the whole world!
