John, why has this simple picture ad become such a sore spot for you? There are many images of Santa in a red suit NOT owned by CokeŽ that I could have selected. Actually, I agree with alot of points you made. I'm living proof that CokeŽ hurts people. I'm not saying that I have conquered this. And, like I said I read ADBUSTERS and I got rid of a car because I didn't want to be a drone. Still, I wonder if your anger on this particular issue possibly speaks of deeper anger or frustration. I'm not trying to cast you in a bad light. And I have my own anger issues too. Believe me, I have no ill feelings toward you, but since you are bashing advertising in the middle of what I hoped might be a somewhat friendly and educational string I thought I needed to take you to task right here. I'm more than willing to admit nearsightedness or lack of judgement, but I feel that there is something more than marketing of traditions that has got you so worked up. Whatever could it possibly be?
