TUESDAY IS HERE
Tuesday is here
The parrots are screaming
My body's awake
But my head is still dreaming
Off to the showers!
It's Off to the bike!
It's time to go help
People find books they like!
I'm reading Luke Timothy Johnson today
Through modernist mayhem he helps point the way
My life is quite simple
And now I know why
There never could be
A more satisfied guy
I hate bouncy poems
Presumptuous at best
And yet I persist
Though it's only in jest
If anyone here
Has seen some of my stuff
You know it's more loose
And you know it's more rough
Well, the showerhead is calling
And I've no time to waste
And I have to remove
This forest from my face
So, Tuesday is here
A right jolly old day
Believe in Saint Nicholas
