Otherwise, why get married? If I understand this correctly, it seems as though this particular belief is set up by the church to perpetuate the whole idea of Mary being sinless and better than all us other humans. : : As if keeping her virginity somehow makes her more pure(ridiculous since God ordained sex between man and woman in marriage before anything else). I can talk to you in emails or on the phone about these. Also, let me remind you that I'm not really too into this topic as a rule. I believe it is one of import, since I think it either is true or not, still, I won't go into much more detail than I already did in other posts. These are questions that I naturally had as well before I changed my belief on this. I was almost word for word the same as you are. Still, it took me almost six years to slowly and thoughfully change my view. Also, I would urge everyone to stay tuned for Steve's aforementioned response, which he says is upcoming after his studies. I think it's important to know that although I may not agree with all of Steve's personal beliefs about Our Lord's mother, I do defer to him in the sense that he provides us w this excellent forum and also with a place to worship and great teaching. I do not wish to become divisive with such a potentially controversial topic. Still, feel free to email me or check out The site I provided. : Bill
