I also thought CENTRAL STATION reminded me alot of KIKUJIRO, a film about a man, Kikujiro, who is compelled to help a boy, Masao, find his 'mother'. This is a real strange film of a real strange journey. Like Dora and Josué, Kikujiro and Masao get to learn the meaning of friendship and communication. This is also a very touching movie, but in a different way than CENTRAL STATION or PIXOTE. Besides, KIKUJIRO has lots of humorous, and very strange parts.
