: Antinomianism would be the accepted academic term for this.
: Never heard of nullifidianism or solifidianism. But neither have the Websters, Oxford, or American Heritage dictionaries I own. What dictionary are these "worthless" words from? ;-)
Nullifidian - found at http://www10.brinkster.com/atheismfile/atheism/whatsinaname.html
This is already a word for Atheists in general; it comes from nullo, meaning 'none' and fides, meaning 'faith'. In short, a Nullifidian is one who is without faith.
This is particularly apt for Weak Atheism; this position makes no assertions, is not based on a faith, and cannot be contradicted except by a positive argument (which is not yet forthcoming, I might add...).
Faithless is its meaning; it's accurate, concise, and already in dictionaries. Plus, it sounds good as a word; there's a certain rhythm to it.
Solifidian - found at http://home.mn.rr.com/wwftd/Frame1.html
one who holds that faith alone without achievement
or personal merit is sufficient to insure salvation
- compare nullifidian; also, cf. antinomian
solifidianism - the doctrine thereof
ecclesiastic. - Peter McLaren>
(from L. soli-, alone + fides, faith)
