: : Friendly Fire Isn't...Off the subject...or on the subject...I'm growing old of the Ministry of Defense of Iraq's mouth...can we (hey I'm the one that usualy talks bad about the country, imagine that) fly a c-130 over Bagdahd & drop MOAB down his throat. If don't know what MOAB is, it stands for Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb. This is a 21,500 pound laser guided bomb that the US has. They tested it at Egland AFB, this year. They call it the mini-nuke, the mother of all bombs. Don't believe me visit CNN.com and look for yourself...Thing I noticed....Three bases I've been to have something to do with this war...Refilling planes from MacDill, B2's from Whitman AFB,MO (I have an uncle that was stationed there & a fighter squadron from Nellis AFB, LAs Vegas, Nevada ( I was born at that base.)

: while i aint the prowar type..i have helped make antiwar banners at a local venue that is in town.
: but seein as the war is goin on in spite of all the protests i believe that we should pray for a swift and decisive victory..also pray for my brother who is out there..that he will keep his spirits up and that GOD will grace him with the strength necessary to do his work.
: now i dont agree with you kenneth on the whole anti american thing..but we have talked about this deal before..i think that with war no one wins..if you win the war persee you still lose..even if only one precious life is lost its one too much..no one's blood should be spilled for this..i couldnt care about what saddam has or doesnt have as far as arms are concerned. i dont go into my nextdoor neighbor's house on the suspicion that he is out to get me and raid his house and take him out before he does the same to me..thats not very christlike, and we have an alleged christian president yall, how is this being christlike?
: well its just my stance on things..granted many will disagree but thats ok right yall? hey i cant change the world but i still will have my opinion..which is far different than others on this board but thats ok too.
I heard something on the radio the other, the man wrote about how this war will turn around and the US will lose, lose face with the world, and eventually lose everything including our sovereignty because of it. It was chilling, it was so well written I could imagine it happening. It talked about our arrogance and pride as a nation. How we think we have some kind of favor with God, and that it will be our downfall. We are an extremely sinful and decadent people and God will allow us to be destroyed because of it. Never again (it said) will the United States of America be a powerful force in the world. Wow.
That being said-
Who's to say that the president isn't following what he beleives is the direction that God has given him. Please dont' forget that there are real people and families in that country that live in fear of this brutal malicious man and his leaders. He totures and murders people just like Hitler and Stalin and the next great despot: Kim Jong Il of North Korea. The United States isn't without fault in this situation - far from it, we basically helped the current regime get where it was back in the eighties then, made a half-hearted attempt to right things when Saddam chose to invade Kuwait remember that? Oh yeah, do you remember that there was a UN resolution that ordered Saddam to disarm? That was what? 12 years ago? What the hell happened? I just find it ironic that hardly a word was said when Clinton sent troops and bombs to Bosnia. Oh, but that wasn't a real war right? I think it more likely he was the media's president. Oops did I just say that?
It seems to me the president is very up front about all this. Very visible, almost vulnerable. Hmmm.
I know that this is scary and it seems wrong I would just remind you all that this war could cost George W Bush much more than a percentage of the polls. He is very aware of the lives that could be and have been lost over there. I really don't think this decision was made lightly or without a thorough understanding of consequences.
Even if President George thinks we are in this war because of arms (I think, he has other reasons) who is to say that God doesn't have his own reasons to allow this war.
Absolutely - do not under any circumstances blindly follow your leadership - I say to you!
But prayerfully consider that God is sovereign and has a purpose and a plan and maybe has something to do here.
Ok, so if you really think George is outta line here, please by all means excersise your right to protest, speak out, call your congressman, and in the next election....God! JUST VOTE!!!
I respect your opinion and anyone else that is vehemently anti-war.I share many of the same concerns as you. I am encouraged that people seem to have learned the lesson of Vietnam and are supporting our troops even if they disagree with war. I pray for a quick end to this war and for the lives and freedom of every innocent Iraqi. I pray for all the Coalition soldiers lives and their families.
I thank my sovereign God, for a merciful and just end to the war.
