I modified it a little because I reread it and thought it was offensive. Oh well...
After studying other religions for a few years, studying Jewish and Christian history, and having some devastating personal encounters with the mysterium tremendum et fascinans, I just cannot reduce Yeshua to the box in which I once kept Him, nor can I embrace His teachings through the interpretations of the Christian church, nor can I selectively devalue all the non-Jewish/Christian revelations God has given of Himself throughout history. I am deeply sorry that I will not qualify for the "Good Baptist" award for 2003. But I do know Jesus. And He knows me.
