: : Friday night the Henry Rollins Band played a bunch of Black Flag and Rollins Band tunes at the Masquerade. It was the best show since the last best show I went to! Rollins rocks hard! Keith Morris, the original Black Flag singer, started the show by doing a bunch of songs from when he fronted the band. Then Henry Rollins took the stage for the rest of the night. Did I tell you that Rollins rocks hard! His entire show was pure angry energy. He even covered a couple Ramones tunes during his 3 song encore. Fiiiyer and I left the show very pleased and in the company of Joseph Hornbeck, our pleasantly plump punk rock escort. Joseph rescued us from all the weirdos and even kissed one guys hand :)
: ~I wish Joe the best as he trucks across the country.
i was really upset that i missed that show. sadly, the friends that were in town aren't exactly the punk rock fans that we are :-( i also thought the show was this weekend, not last. but, i called you, on a couple of occasions, since i was out that way anyhow. and i looked and looked to see if i could spy you in the crowd, much to my avail. i think the highlight of my night (which wasn't very high) was hearing a cover of blister in the sun. (did you get that message?)
and speaking of joe.... i was driving around today, out where we live, and lo and behold, mister hornbeck was behind me, looked like he was trekin' pizza to some hungry soul. we waved, and then i was behind him... he stole my license plate, it says "gelfling". I'm JEALOUS!!!!!!!!
