~Well, I've been thinking about Mark 7:24-30, and as we've been seeing, the Syrophoenician born woman could have been offended at Jesus response, which seems demeaning, yet it must have taken humility on her part to follow what Jesus said to her the way she did. I mean I think she had reason to be offended, as Jesus response seems very offensive, I know in that situation I would have been offended (and missed what Jesus was going to do), and being too sensitive, one would certainly be offended, but it takes letting go of pride, to be able to respond to what God may be saying to us that we don't understand or seems offensive, as we heard this and last Sunday.

I think it also takes letting go of our pride to be able to let offenses from other people go, even if they are true, to be not so sensitive to being offended, whether big or small offenses, sure humans are usually offended, but we are called to be more like this Syrophoenician-born woman.
