The verdict is in: Angel is dying. She has a large tumor behind her liver that is spreading through her intestines. She no longer gets any nutrition from food, as the cancer takes it all, and is progressively blocking her intestines. Her muscle mass is nearly depleted now and she is pretty much a skelton with fur, except for her abdomen which is bloated from the tumor. I am giving her a nutritional supplement that is absorbed through the stomach to keep her going, as well as pain medication to make her more comfortable. I am trying to keep Angel alive until Cari gets home on the 15th so she can say goodbye. Angel is 14 years old, and has been deaf for some time already. She has been a great dog--she loves everyone, and loves to give kisses. She can no longer do her little dance for a treat; she can barely walk. She deserves to die being loved. This we want to do. Please pray that Angel will last till Cari gets home, and that she can die peacefully with both her masters, knowing she is loved. Thank you for your prayers.
