: Interesting. I like the "Novel" approach. It's kind of sad, but typical of our world, that we have to call it fiction to present it to the public.

: The people in the Bible were real people, with real lives, and I'm not sure why we have to call them literary fictional characters, like Merlin or Gandolf, when we present them. Real lives aren't all that boring, and the intent of God's work in man is to show us just how powerful He is and that He loves us enough to use divine, sometimes miraculous, interference to wake us up to the fact that what we see is not all there is (faith).

: I may enjoy the Harry Potter books, but they don't inspire me to truly believe in jumping chocolate frogs. So now, if we recreate God in our image and tell people they were right not to really believe--but isn't this a great story!--then we aren't really doing them any favors by getting them to read just another best-seller, are we?

yeah it is sad
