I would say this is like my favorite series since MY SO CALLED LIFE. It is an HBO series whose first season is available in it's entirety on DVD. You can even rent it from Netflix. Created by Alan Ball, the genius behind AMERICAN BEAUTY, SIX FEET UNDER follows the life of a family who owns a funeral home. Each episode is crafted around the death and subsequent embalming/cremation/ memorial/funeral of a certain person. It would be hard to say all the things I love about the series. There is alot in there that would need to be qualified as well. This is definitely an adult series and I would not recommend it for the kiddies. As with AMERICAN BEAUTY, SIX FEET UNDER seems to be loved or hated by most without much middle ground. Had I not seen any of the episodes, the opening credits would have been enough to sell me on it, plus the score. I'm an Alan Ball junky.
