: Forgive me, but I disagree here. Many non-Christians thoughtfully and willfully read Christian scripture, even using it as a spiritual guide in their lives. It all depends on the person. Many non-Christians love to read the bible, just as many Christians read the Koran, or Hindu epics or perhaps other non-Christian religious literature. What I have found more often than not is that it's the Christians who often demonstrate ignorance about their own books. Sorry, just couldn't stay silent on that one. Love ya though.

Methinks your group of friends/acquaintances may not be characteristic of the majority. This reflects very well on you personally, but not on the above comment. That is, I think both of your views are valid from each of your viewpoints, but Kristi's would be closer to the MAJORITY of Americans. My two cents worth...
