After reading the most recent posts, I am compelled to clarify my own observations and statements.
First, I want to say that I always thought Raul simply wanted a church body where he could be "real" as he always said. He always expressed that he wanted people to be truthful to him. He truly desires genuineness and honesty in my opinion.
I don't like the idea of cutting ties with people, but sometimes circumstances warrant it. If a persons presence in your life is consistantly painful, abusive , or disruptive to your peace, that is what needs to happen. It doesn't have to be an angry reaction, it is simply the best alternative to overwhelming stress. I think that is what has happened here. I'm sure it would be very painful to be on the recieving end of that kind of rejection. And it's not a rejection of the person-it's a rejection of his actions.
I hope he can see he has been wrong, I hope he can be sorry - truly sorry. I hope he can see that there is a great blessing in being repentant for his actions and words that have been hurtful to others. I know God will do a great work in him if he is.

I realize some of you have been directly attacked and you have a right to be hurt and angry with him, I would just implore you all to pray for Raul. I think he has a deep wound involving trust and like Pastor I would like to see his heart and spirit healed, and I believe that god will do this for him just as i believe he is a child of God.
Regardless of what he has said about us/to us, I think we should just pray for him.
