Friday:
The rubber trees were cut down and the Monk Parakeet nests were trimmed out of the Palm Trees, but today the birds were back, rebuilding their nests. Amen.
Tom, my DDR buddy, came down from G-ville.
Michael, my former DJ friend and massage therapist and movie-watching and storm-chasing buddy came over. We hung out! We talked about everything from God to nanotechnology to danceclubs. At 4:20 am we went to IHOP and ate. Tom and I went to bed at 5:40 am Saturday morning.
Saturday:
Tom and I woke up at 10 am. We went to First Watch for breakfast. We talked about the future of computing and relating organic and spiritual dimensions to talk about the mathematics behind computers. Later we came home and Paul came up in his vintage orange shirt. We talked about the law of the conservation of information and we talked about energy being reconfigured in systems. I won't go into this much since I'm sure I'm already saying it wrong. Tom left. Bob was outside though so Bob and I chatted on the way upstairs and Paul came back home w me. Then Brett, the guy who makes elaborate Gingerbread Houses came over. He was showing us the pics of his various creations. It was real neat. While Brett was here, Ryan came by. So, Ryan got to see the Gingerbread Houses too. Then Brett left and Paul went to go have a veggie burger, so Ryan and I went to LA IDEAL (see below) but it was closed.
So, then we went to Starbucks on Howard and he got a Venti Coffee of the Day Decaf, and I got a Coffee and steamed milk plus a hot chocolate, extra whipped cream. Ryan saw his friend Pete(?) and then he and I hung out front. We got some nice guy who spoke Spanish to come light Ryan's cloves. Later, we went to The Natural Kitchen(?) in Hyde Park and I ate tabouli(?) and Ryan had beans. Then we went to THE POTTERY BARN where I bought Steven, my movie-watching buddy from THE PINK PALACE some classic movie coasters. Then it was off to THE NICHOLSON HOUSE where I got some magnets for Steven and me. After this we met Raul and interfaced and then stood in the ROSEMARY'S BABY PHONE BOOTH, complete w leather straps on the hinges, which was shipped to Hyde Park directly from England, at least according to Raul. After this Ryan waited while I went into Steven's place. I gave him the coasters (which he loved) and then I got a book from him. Then it was off to Kinko's to do a special project. After this Ryan and I came back here w some Taco Bell and just chilled out listening to the newest CD by YAHOO. Then Ryan went home. After this I listened to Madonna for about an hour and danced in my living room. Then I napped. Now I am here, typing this message.
