: : This is an excerpt from an email I got from my friend Janice in California last night. Janice breeds Bengal cats and works for a company that trains guide dogs for the blind. Her mom has been fighting lung cancer the last couple years, but now there is a new tragedy.

: : My little brother (30) has just been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. The greatest guy you could ever meet, just got married 6 months ago and planning a family. One of those smart people who did everything right, finished school, has a great job as an engineer, waited for the right woman before settling down, good looking, smart as a whip...just had it all. It's so heartbreaking, I cried for almost 2 weeks straight when I found out. Very sobering Xmas having him there, thin and scared and with a bald head from the chemo and knowing it was probably the last we will spend with him. Really sucks.

: : I could not stop thinking about this young man last night. I emailed Janice and asked her brother's name. I will let you know when I hear. I know we are supposed to pray for this man. I feel great power here.
: wow. this is incredibly sad. i will definitely pray.
: it seems many people had to deal with sufferings this holiday season. relatives of two different co-workers passed away (one of which was a father on christmas day). seems so awful to cope, considering the time of year. i felt horrible just having to call my teammates to spread the news. i'm attending one's funeral this wed. *my first funeral ever*. i continue to pray for their families' peace.
I will pray also.
