I know what you mean. Every time I find myself in this situation, I think of the verse in the Bible that says something like "...the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak..." If memory serves, Jesus was referring to the disciples who followed Him out to pray. When he came back, they had fallen asleep.
I wish I had an answer. I don't.
