Map of Giveawayboy's Life
The green line represents my life from childhood up until the time I moved out of the house in the early 90's. The red line inside the maze represents the time in my life when I first moved out and lived with John Sexton. During this time, I began to write poems and short stories and my artwork began to form into a recognizable style. The purple lines represent an explosion of knowledge and experience that hit me right after living w John. The lines break apart wildly and irresponsibly and then in a sort of regathering, tend back toward the center. There is nothing wrong with the wild, chaotic part. It's all part of the learning process I guess. The yellow ring symbolizes my conversion to Catholicism, an event that was just as much an artistic and romantic event as it was a spiritual one. The black hole symbolizes my current cluelessness and a sort of faith symbol for the future. I am confident that the line won't be lost, but will still go, but I can't say much for where it is at present. Also, I left out something I really wanted in there. Picture a yellow schoolbus hovering somewhere near that black hole. For some reason, schoolbuses have been in my dreams lately and I feel that they have special importance, but don't know why.
