: : : : Well, at least Buddy the dog is really trying. :-)

: : : Yes. A most eloquent and profound canine. Certainly to be admired for his loquacious oratory skills. My yes, what a dog! Although his spelling falters at times no doubt due to his difficulty with the keyboard and the language barrier. I know I would certainly like to learn his native language. It would only be fair and would certainly broaden my cultural horizons.

: : I for one would LOVE to hear you try and communicate with Buddy in his own dialect. Do not fail to inform me of the scheduled time and location for this splendid endeavor.

: Thank you very much for you kind words. As for giving canine language lessions, the human intellect is not capable of understanding the subtle yet complex syntax of the varrious dialects of the canine language. Yet, you must know them to speak from breed to breed. In addition, Canine is a language that relies heavily on body language using parts of the body that humans either don't have or cover up. I shutter to think of the miss understandings that could occur. Although, I am very flattered at the intrest expressed in learning canine, I would also caution you that human voical bands maybe permanently damaged from the more intracite barks and growls.

Yes I can see how speaking canine would be most difficult for the human tongue... at least unless you were raised speaking it. I nhave howwever seen Gorillas that speak fluent American Sign Language and Cokatoos that understand English beyond just mimicking. In fact just recently I spoke to a squirrel although the results were quite unfavorable, as you yourself predicted. Still it is quite a feat to write in any language other than one's own and so I commend you on your acheivment must regretably resign myself to aa dependency on your skills for further linguistic communication. Perhaps we may be able to develop a sort of sign language in the future much like the early American natives did with the unfamiliar Europeans.
