San Diego! Because there is almost no humidity, loads of cool breezes, and in thirty minutes you can be anywhere: from Mexico, the mountians, the ocean, the bestest park in all of the USA (Balboa), the city, the suburbs, etc. And also you are only a 2 hour drive away from Little Tokyo in L.A. And you can rent an apt. with a "real" view. A view of the Pacific or of the gorgeous mountains to the east. It is also a prime spot to be an elementary teacher if you like muesums. In Balboa park you can take you pick of up to 12 different muesums for the "monthy" field trip. Oh yeah, and also because of La Jolla beach - where you can get face to face with beached sea lions ^_^
