Kaballah is truly an intersting thing. I also know that it is extremely powerful and not to be taken lightly. Many people fear to dabble at all because of the spiritual ramifications this philosophy/ religion/ school of thought carries. I myself studied ABOUT it for awhile, but never got into the teachings themselves. I think some of the danger lies in its total acceptance of what we know to be true. I mean it is a Jewish mystic tradition from ancient roots. It understands the order of things and thus leaps ahead of many other mysticisms that operate in a flawed paradigm.
Still the post was a beautiful writing expressing a beautiful idea. What were you thinking about when you posted it?

I need to be real careful how I say this. I'm not talking about the Kaballah perse, but about something that hit me while looking at it years ago. I knew some folks who were in the Assemblies of God and also Messianic churches who were into Kaballah and also I knew some charismatics and Messianics who were dead against it. I really got fascinated with it by reading Umberto Eco's FOUCAULT'S PENDULUM. Anyway, to me, leaving certain people's penchant for divination aside--This is not something Christians should practice--I found that what attracted me in Kaballah was this sense of order in creation, almost like a cosmological order that could also be seen in the human person, the relationship to the Divine, etc. I feel like that order (see Colossians 1) is something that Kaballah is sensing. Here I am not advocating Kaballah, as I don't fully know what it is about. I began to see something in Kaballah that I see in other things like language, or the cycle of the year or the cosmos, or the evolutionary tree. It's like a fluid diagramming of sentences or some rich vibrant playfully rythmic beast leaving his imprint throughout creation. It is not so much the lungfish itself, but it is seeing how everything that is passes through that lungfish and how that lungfish unties to higher orders of creation or non-creation. something like that. o.k. so i game it a name for my own need to discuss it and i called it the ORDER OF FORMS. Linnaeus and Darwin saw it. Aquinas and Teresa of Avila saw it. Black Elk saw it. It was bigger than all of them. They did not master it, but may have been becoming masters within it. It mainly mastered them and they bowed in reverence to it (Romans chapter 1). I think Paula must know an awful lot about the ORDER OF FORMS. Just check out her website.
Got to run--Gastavo's on the way. Spaghetti Warehouse today!
