I think only in hindsight will it be readily apparent that anything occured. All of a sudden, Jesus will be standing on this earth in full effect and everyone will be staring dumbfounded...except for those few who were ready and they will probably just cheer or cry or something in between. In Matthew 24 He seems to be talking about the element of surprise and the fact that if the owner of the house knew someone might break in he would have been prepared. : : If that be the case, then aren't we prepared? Those who do not know Him will of course will be surprised. In I Thessalonians 5 Paul says that we are not in darkness so that this day should not surprise us as a thief would. : : On one hand I agree with you that it will just kind of blow over before people realize what is happening, on the other my spirit wants to see the Lord pour out his wrath and, come back in glory so that no one should be able to miss it. : : : WEll I imagine that this is so buried no one will read it, but just in case someone does, try posting a response back to the top of the board so others will get it. I probably should have done that here. : Anyway, I think the wind will blow and after that people will not be able to deny who he is. But I imagine it may not be so much of an outright of look, there's the beast and there's the whore kind of thing... Perhaps we're already in the midst of this...oooohhhh, spooky! I don't know, all of this is just speculation. But hey, what's so bad about the R word, remember I was raised as a conservative evangelical from Baptist and Presby. roots.
