Regarding Steven, he does deserve to receive a salary. He has invested heart, mind, soul, and strength into the church. He works his butt off. Most of you see enough to know he is worthy of a decent salary, but you don't see a lot of what he does. In addition, I know that he is very generous, refuses to take pay if it hurts the church, and will often give generously to those in need. Since I am tooting my husband's horn, let me tell you that he is the generous one in our family. I am usually too consumed with fear that we won't be able to pay all of our bills. There have been times when he gave away a lot of money and had to deal with my wrath because I didn't think we could afford what he decided to give.
