: But, Bill-I think the most difficult thing with getting a tattoo is actually deciding what you want and where. If for no other reason you should get them because you already are past that hurdle.
.....I see that as a story telling vehicle they can be a really great communicator. Just imagine the conversations Tim has about the 'original art' art he has on his leg! ......Some are very beautiful and have deep meaning for the owner, and I think it is a valid form of self-expression.

Kat, I think it's real cool that you can still not be entirely SURE that G-d "approves" as you say, but you still are encouraging me to go for it. This shows some kind of engagement w this life. I don't know all the answers, but dern it-- I'm going to try some things and find out what works. We'll see. Since I don't know everything about what God thinks or desires, I'm not going to be brazen, but I'm allowing myself 'leash room' for checking out some things. That's all. This also doesn't give license for me to do things that I know without a doubt to be sin. And, if I think it's likely to be sinful, then out of an educated guess I might refrain--and the key to everything is that I'm really looking for things that are good, true and beautiful! Yeah!
