Damn the American media. They make it look like hurricanes like are that bad everywhere. But they also told people that Colorado was totally torched this summer, which isn't quite true. Some parts were torched, most of it was smoky, but the people from out East who called us all in Denver to ask if the city was still standing were as misinformed as apparently I am.
But this brings up an point of interest to me, which we discussed briefing on the other branching of this thread -- where and what are the places and events that show the power of nature?
We've named so far:
Hurricanes, near the coast.
Tornadoes.
Lightning storms.
Volcanoes.
Swamps.
Does anyone have any good 'power of nature' stories to share?
