THREE FRAMED PICTURES FELL FROM THE SKY
In 1999, I was walking down Himes Ave. toward A St. on my way to my job at Barnes and Noble Bookstore, when about 8 yards in front of me a fully framed picture crashed to the ground from above. I kept approaching the spot where it landed w curiosity and no thought that there might be more. Suddenly, as I neared the first picture, a second about the same size (perhaps 1'X1½') was deposited in the same spot. Each picture was blue and white and reminded me of clouds in the sky or ocean waves. Finally, a third picture landed on top of the other two but it was totally different than the first two. It was orange and brown and gold and showed several ducks or geese flying off the surface of a lake. The picture also happened to be shot full of holes as if a bebe gun had been used, and then it had been mounted under glass. The glass itself had no bebe holes, just cracks from where it shattered when it landed. I have no idea how high the objects fell from or where they came from although I know I saw them falling straight down and did not observe any arcs or parabolic paths. I have no explanations as to the where the pictures came from or how they got to this particular sidewalk at this particular time of day when most people were still in their homes sleeping. (6:30 am)...It was not long after this happend that my friend Kumar told me about 'rain anomalies' and their research. This helped to realize that I wasn't just out there without some context for what happened. I began to realize that others had also reported objects falling from the skies.
