I wanna go back to talking about the bible being poetry or not being poetry, I almost missed that thread with Terry and the Animal Spirits. I think it's cool what you said, but what you said about the bible being for the masses and all; well it bothered me. I'm just being frank about my feelings now. maybe I didn't quite understand what you were trying to say. Lately I've been trying to memorize some scripture and it's all good. What I was wondering was if you've ever had a scripture illuminated for you. I mean divinely illuminated.
It's a scripture you've read before, you think you got the meaning and all understood, and then *pow* God says, "did you notice this? ---> (?) "
And you say, " no, what is that? oh my, wow, that really means, um,---cool!"
literally, the light goes on
I mean it hits you where you live all of a sudden and it REALLY MEANS SOMETHING ELSE now.
I can't explain it, but i know that is what all of it should be(all the bible), there is stuff in there you can't get the first time, stuff you can't get without prayer, stuff you have to meditate over, and stuff you need to be in a certain place to GET, and finally I think it's a bit different for each person.
I think it is API code but most people look at it and see the numbers and symbols instead of what is really there.
I think it is poetry, but not at first glance. Maybe not at second, third, or hundredth glance.
