making my mark in this allotment called time

this time...the cold ceramic floor in my home beckons me to wear warm raiment as
the sound of grindcore greatness explodes from my cd player..napalm death surely own me..
and here i am...thanking him for another day..
for another chance...to be a friend...to work one more day...to love one more day..
this day..its mine...this time...its what i do with it...my hands labor this day...as i work em
to the bone..in hopes of making a gem out of my day....this time alloted to me...
these 24 hours are so short..this life is so short...fathoming the days when i will look back
all gray and shriveled...marveling at my days of youth..hoping to not regret the now..
praying...hoping..doing my best...to make my mark..
