here's the difference, some people willfully distance themselves from a group of friends or "O.K." a church, and then occasionally creep around in the shadows taking pot shots at the character or intentions of members of that group or church. then there are others, who really are not 'trying' to distance themselves but for some reaoson or another are on some kind of hiatus or perhaps feel that they cannot relate. i'm not sure what their reasons are but you can tell that they are not hostile or accusatory. such people care enough to admit distance while keeping some kind of connection within a spirit of friendship. this is commendable. Marcos, you are in the latter group. i for one respect the heck out of you.
my friendship w you is not contingent on church affiliation, obviously as i have ceased to actively practice as a catholic, you have not turned from me. i feel that you are good friendship material.
by the way, nancy and jason and i have been hanging out this weekend and you have been in our conversations. all three of us find you to be a rather intersting guy but hope to know you more.
