Found a little place that might work for a year. Only $800 mo, but it is small. I am going to show it to Jen & Cari tomorrow at 4:30. If anyone wants to come, you may. Otherwise, if Jen and Cari think it could work, I will make arangements to show it to you all Sunday evening. It is on Florida between Bearss and Fletcher on the west side, somewhat south of the other place we looked at. The main room is only 14' wide, which is narrow. It is 30' long, but a wall can be taken out to add another 12-14' or so to the length of the main room if we wish. There are 2 other rooms: the one we would lose (or skrink) if we moved the wall, and a smaller one which has a large L-shaped desk in it already. There is a spartan back area for storage, and a single bathroom. The adequacy of the single bathroom is my main question for the girls. The landlord seems like a great guy; young and pretty easy going. Runs the lock shop next door, M-F, 8-5. Nothing open at nights or on Sundays in the strip.
I pursued a couple other places I liked better, but I cannot get the property companies to call me back. It is like they just don't care about renting the places. One of the companies has a bunch of empty spots; you would think they would care to rent a few. The coolest one is right next to Sound Exchange on Livingston and Bearss. Sound Exchange might be open on Sundays, which could be a problem though. Point is moot, though; they just won't call me back.
