Well, that's neat. I like how art can work differently to evoke diff. things for diff. peeps. When I wrote it I was recalling sitting w Ryan at a sandwich shop. The poem itself is about my cluelessness about God. So, desolate windswept plains and painful purple skies are perfect for that. The original title was HOMEWORK GUY which seemed confusing and odd and more than a tad cheesy. Also, although I could connect that title to the poem, I don't know if anyone else would have.
