I can't tell you for sure what will work for you, but I am a visual learner. some of us learn more kinetically, others are visual, still others, can read and internalize what they read, memorizing movie lines, textbooks, computer manuals, what-have-you. I am more of a visual learner. also, i connect information and knowledge fields by using visuals. So for instance, i put a sign up in my living room that says welcome. it reminds me to be a welcoming person. i am not always this way, but when i look at that sign it reinforces that desire in me to be that kind of person. another thing for me is a sun, that i placed on the east wall of my house. it reminds me to open my drapes to let the sun in. and this helps the house to be more open and welcoming too. wow. i must sound batty. am i in the olympics? hope. well, other things help. i used to have this picture of a 300 pound guy who lost something like 130 pounds. whenever i saw it i would go take a walk. now i'm looking for a picture of an alpine wanderer that i can mount on my living room wall. this will remind me to take walks. the neat thing is when all those symbols start talking to me at the same time, in concert. so you see, taking a walk, or opening the windows or being more welcoming is all the same thing, it is like saying you have a choice in this moment to be open or closed, to say, as in WAKING LIFE, YES or not to say YES.
but to try and remember all those things is not easy and i would not do it without my visual cues.
