We only have now, we only have our life with it's mundane superficiality. We can go deeper, but we are afraid. We reach out tentatively to touch a hand, to kiss someone's head. We do it sporadically unless we are one of those blessed with an abundance of love. In our own way we rebel. We refuse medical treatment; we eat icecream for breakfast; we fast until we are hungry. This is the world we live in. We are here now. Rebellion could simply be the difference between praying for someone and praying with them.
I don't have expanded cable so I watch American Idol. I liked the boy with curly hair. I just wasted an hour of my life. Try again tomorrow, with the grace of God.
Someone tell me how to live in this moment and not in tomorrow or even five minutes from now.
