Very cool, but it will scare many people. Anything that requires a passionate committment is scary because the ability to distance and back out if it goes sour is not there. There are very few things that people can get behind like this. Basically it has to be something you are willing to die for. The only thing is that if you are going to do it, you had better make sure its worth dying for. And who can argue that the Gospel of Christ is not one of those things. I long for boldness but have it not. I long for passionate committment but have it not. It is easy to talk about, but try yourself and see how quickly you turn and run. Does this reaction mean our commttment was false? Or that it was misplaced? Or is it simply a factor of the human failed condition that even what we most passionately beleive we will deny in our own power. Perhaps this is the flaw, that we act in our own power. Even Peter denied, but turned out much better once he understood the true working of God's power in his life.
Admittedly, one can rage and determine their way through most anything, evidenced by my stint at Home Depot, and Timothy McVeigh, but this is pointless and unhealthy in many ways.
