: : I 'm not saying it's a government conspiracy or anything, I don't think they're that smart, but the effect is the same. What better way to decieve a people than to keep tem so doped up and sedated that they can't fight back. It's like spiritual date-rate.
: : Of course it's a conspiracy...it's a satanic conspiracy. I don't want anybody to think i'm wacky or anything , but the last time I checked, the bible said Satan was THE ENEMY. I think he is that smart and I think many other things, but then I probably listen to too much prophecy tabloid crap.
: : Actually I did hear someone on the radio talking about the "powers behind the powers" and the idea with that group IS to frighten us into our own little hole. We get bombared by the media by so much bad crap, we think there is no way one person(I) can do anything. The only solution for most individuals is to keep to themselves and not get involved outside there own world at all.
: : I think that is why so many are desensitized and apathic. We are as a whole, "Controlled" as it were. Here is a site that is interesting and kinda goes into the whole "Commitee of 300" thingy.
: : The only reason I would hesitate to share this is because it perpetuates fear and I don't think fear is productive. However I don't dispute that secret societies such as those mentioned here exist and I would rather have the knowledge about what might be out there than walk around thinking "everything is all right in my little corner of the world".
: : he he he he he
: : OK then I'm wacky.

: I totally recognize the satanic root of things. I was just being more vague about it. Thank you for blurting out what I was hesitant to say in my conditioned brain. That's one of the many reasons I like you. I think the difference between us and the rest of the world, as far as fear and control goes, is that we are related, filled, and protected by powers far greater than anything that operates in this earth. What we know of God's power and workings are only the merest incling of how in control HE is. The truth is that all of these parties who think they control us are really being manipulated by our God to effect his purposes, to which we are the beneficiaries.
: This means that we don't have to operate in the plain of the rest of the world. Even if we don't see the plan, we need to trust from what we know of our God that he is still in absolute control. And I don't mean this in the rhetorical sense. I mean whoever won the election, regardless of all the graft and power play was chosen by our God. Think like Tom Clancy... the levels go up and up and stop with our God who is the ultimate power so grand he is behind the scenes, but also all through the scenes, around every corner, and in every secret meeting. This understanding is the power of the martyrs. That is why the father can call to his petrified son who escapes the death squad, "come out son, you can run for a few days, but in a few minutes we'll be with our God, come die with your family." Honestly, who of us would say this? We'd be fighting to get our children away! Just imagine the impact this would have on us if we really had this in our hearts, in the way you mentioned being able to ask and believe. It stuns me and I want this.
**I comeplety agree brother! That' s why I would rather perpetuate faith and belief than fear. You can hear all these things about the secret powers and the skull and bones societies and how the World Bank controls allthe major markets, get totally freaked out and say, "AH, what are we going to do?!!!" Well, there isn't that much an average person can do on his own to affect these things. There are things that will come to pass that are completly out of our control and it's supposed to happen. The only thing we are supposed to do (and this goes back to Bryons original message) is to be a light to show others the way. Yes? We start by being still, and knowing He is God our Father. And in control. What a heritage!
: Imagine being able to stand in the midst of a battle field and watch as the war went on unconcerned for your safety! Think I'm being rediculous? Read the old testament. Johnathan and his servant snuck into enemy camp at night and slaughtered them alone. David stood alone on the field between two armies facing a man who had killed more men than David had ever met. And should he lose, the enemy army would immediately over run his and slaughter them. That was how single combat worked. Then there's Jehu, Ehud, Ezra, Gideon... and countless others! And it doesn't stop there. Read about the martyrs. Last year this kind of thing happened. People who know who their God is continue to do amazing things without fear even in this modern world.
** I know! It's mind boggling. I wonder if I would stand up in faith that way. In fact, I was thinking about the woman in Seatle who was standing on a bridge I think and she was up there for a few hours and people started to goad her on an they yelled at her to jump! Can you imagine? I was so disgusted, and then I thought what would I have done if I had been there? Of course I wouldn't have yelled with the rest, but would I have done anything? Tried to talk her down in front of that crowd? Yelled at the crowd and told them what perverted and evil snakes they were? I don't know. I would like to think I would have done something positive and godly. What will happen when it' s my turn to face death? What if I am to stand in front of that firing squad with my children and convictions? I hope I can honor God and not fear.
: did you know that right now in Africa there is a clinic in the middle of a civil war battle zone that is never harmed by the enemies? People have to make mad runs in armored trucks arcoss dirt roads with mines and mortars to bring supplies and people in and out. And they do. If they get caught after dark, both armies will shoot anything that moves, and still they run regularly. There are Christians who continually work in bombed out muslim cities to help the jihad warrior's families recover from the damage. These things should inspire us. This is the faith that I want.
: This is not average Christianity.
** True that, there is average homogenized, generic, mundane christianity all around us. Who needs that. Not a fallen, lost, hopeless generation. Not the disenfranchised youth. Not the homeless or unloved, or elderly. The inmates in prison need a real God otherwise how will their faith stand up in that environment? Let's hold each other accountable now and put our money where our mouth is.
What next, indeed.
Oh yeah and don't forget to stockpile for the coming tribulation. You know, refusing the mark of the beast and all. : )
